Hermès has introduced an ultra-premium charging bundle built around Apple’s old MagSafe Duo concept, and the asking price is the part that really jumps out. According to a report from 9to5Mac, the new Paddock Duo charger and Grand Paddock case arrive as part of the brand’s Spring 2026 lineup and sell for $5,150.
The setup is based on Apple’s dual-device charging format and is wrapped in the fashion house’s signature golden Swift calfskin. It can charge both an iPhone and an Apple Watch at the same time, so the actual function is familiar even if the presentation is far more upscale than what Apple originally sold.
What makes this story notable is the price gap. Apple’s own MagSafe Duo charger originally sold for $129 before it was discontinued in 2023. That means the Hermès version costs roughly 40 times as much, turning a fairly practical charging accessory into a full-on luxury accessory.
There’s also a catch: even at more than five thousand dollars, the product doesn’t include the 20W USB-C power adapter needed for normal use. Buyers still have to purchase that separately, which makes the package feel even more like a status item than a convenience-focused tech bundle.
The report adds that Hermès also refreshed its Apple Watch band range through Apple’s official channel earlier this month, with several new spring designs joining the lineup. So this charging set appears to be part of a broader seasonal push aimed at shoppers who want Apple gear to match high-end fashion styling.
For most people, this won’t be a serious alternative to standard Apple charging gear. Still, it’s a striking example of how far branded iPhone accessories and Apple Watch charging products can be pushed into the luxury market.
