HMD Crest 2 Pro leak points to a 6,000mAh battery and a 50MP main camera

A fresh leak suggests that the HMD Crest 2 Pro is on the way with a familiar budget-phone formula: a big battery, a large AMOLED display, and upgraded camera hardware.

According to details shared by tipster @smashx_60 on X, the upcoming phone is expected to land below INR 20,000 in India, which would keep the HMD Crest 2 Pro in the affordable midrange segment.

On the front, the phone is said to feature a 6.78-inch Super AMOLED panel. That would make it slightly larger than the screens used on the earlier Crest and Crest Max models, which both used 6.67-inch displays. The refresh rate is also rumored to move up from 90Hz to 120Hz.

For performance, the leak points to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chip. It doesn’t sound like a device aimed at heavy gaming, but it should be enough for day-to-day tasks like messaging, calling, mobile payments, and video streaming.

Battery life could be one of the phone’s main selling points. The report says the device will carry a 6,000mAh battery with support for 33W charging, which should give it plenty of endurance for regular use.

Camera details in the leak mention a 50MP camera setup on the back, paired with additional secondary sensors, while the front side is said to include a high-resolution selfie camera. If the final hardware matches the leak, HMD may be trying to make this model more appealing to buyers who want balanced specs without stepping into flagship pricing.

As usual with early leaks, the final specs could still change before launch. Even so, the rumored combination of a 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 4 Gen 4, and a 6,000mAh battery gives a pretty clear idea of where HMD is positioning this device.
