Honor MagicOS is getting a new March update for older foldable devices, with the rollout arriving alongside the launch of the Magic V6. Honor says the update adds several practical multitasking and productivity tools aimed at making better use of large foldable displays.
One of the headline additions is a YO Assistant feature that turns a photo into an editable document. Honor is pitching it as a quick way to snap paperwork, convert it for free, and make light edits without jumping through extra steps.
The update also introduces new split-screen scenarios. Honor says users can watch Taobao livestreams while checking prices at the same time, which is basically a shopping-focused dual-window mode designed for foldables and large-screen devices.
Another new option is a stock-monitoring split-screen layout. That mode lets users compare two stocks side by side while keeping an eye on market trends, making it easier to track movement without constantly switching apps or views.
Honor is also highlighting broader one-screen multitasking improvements. The company says users can record audio while editing a document, or check schedules while taking notes, which leans into the kind of parallel workflows foldable phones are supposed to handle well.
According to Honor’s rollout plan, the March update will reach a fairly wide list of devices. The lineup includes the Honor Magic V6, Magic V5 series, Magic V3, Magic Vs3, Magic V2, Magic Vs2, Magic Vs series, Magic V Flip2, and Magic V Flip.
It’s not a massive visual overhaul, but it does look like a sensible quality-of-life update. For foldable owners, the most useful part may be that these new split-screen features and document tools focus on everyday tasks rather than flashy demos.
