OnePlus has started teasing more official details about the OnePlus 15T, and this time the focus is on durability and convenience. According to the company, the phone will support full IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K protection, which puts it in a very strong position for water and dust resistance compared with most mainstream flagships.
The company says users won’t need to worry about taking the phone around water in everyday situations, and it’s clearly framing the device as a fully loaded flagship rather than a small mid-cycle refresh. Beyond ingress protection, OnePlus also confirmed an upgrade to 50W wireless charging. The phone is said to be compatible with OPPO’s recently released magnetic Turbo 2 wireless charger, which adds a little more ecosystem value for people already using OPPO and OnePlus accessories.
Another notable upgrade is the move to a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. OnePlus says the sensor can still unlock quickly with wet fingers, and it should also feel more comfortable to use at night since there’s no bright optical fingerprint flash involved. That may sound like a smaller feature on paper, but in real daily use it can make the experience feel much more polished.
OnePlus is also pushing the idea that the OnePlus 15T is getting the full flagship treatment across the board. The company previously confirmed several launch colors, including Healing White, Relaxing Mint, and Pure Titanium. It also said the phone uses a metal frame, a Glacier Battery solution, and a new-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, while keeping a compact body profile.
Earlier teasers mentioned a 6.32-inch flat display, a 120Hz refresh rate, a battery rated at 6,260mAh with a typical value of 6,500mAh, and a weight of 185 grams. OnePlus has also said the phone uses a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and a macro camera. Taken together, the latest announcements make it look like the OnePlus 15T is being positioned as a small flagship that doesn’t give up core premium features.
For buyers who care about compact phones but still want strong charging, serious water resistance, and high-end biometrics, this combination is probably the biggest takeaway. The final pricing and launch timing still matter, of course, but OnePlus is clearly trying to pitch the device as a no-compromise option rather than a trimmed-down model.
