OPPO has started teasing the OPPO K15 Pro series ahead of its April 1 launch event, and the latest preview puts the design front and center. The company says the new phones will pair a metal frame with a so-called breathing light effect, giving the lineup a more distinctive rear-panel look than the usual midrange release.
The official teaser doesn’t spell out every hardware detail, but it does confirm the launch timing: April 1 at 2:30 p.m. local time. IT Home also cited earlier leaks from Digital Chat Station, which suggest the larger model in the OPPO K15 Pro family could come with a built-in active cooling fan, a 6.78-inch 1.5K flat display, and MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500s chip clocked up to 3.73GHz.
That same leak says the higher-end version may use a 50MP + 8MP rear camera setup, a 16MP front camera, and a battery rated at 7,760mAh, with a typical value around 8,000mAh. The phone is also said to keep the metal frame while measuring 8.33mm thick and weighing 213 grams.
A smaller model is reportedly on the way too. According to the source, it could use a 6.59-inch 1.5K flat screen, a Dimensity 8500 chip with peak frequency up to 3.4GHz, the same 50MP + 8MP rear camera combination, and a 16MP selfie camera. Battery capacity is tipped at roughly 7,500mAh typical, with a rated value of 7,265mAh.
That version is also expected to keep the metal frame design, with an 8.3mm body and a listed weight of 197 grams. If the leak holds up, OPPO is aiming to package unusually large batteries and gaming-style thermal hardware into phones that still look relatively slim for the category.
For now, OPPO hasn’t confirmed the full spec sheet publicly, but the early message is clear: the OPPO K15 Pro series is being positioned as a performance-focused launch with a more eye-catching industrial design than usual.
