vivo has officially introduced the vivo X300 Ultra at its spring launch event, positioning the phone as a serious imaging-first flagship. The new model starts at 6,999 yuan and combines Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform with an ambitious camera setup that vivo is marketing as a professional-grade mobile photography system.

The pricing starts at 6,999 yuan for the 12GB + 256GB version, rises to 7,499 yuan for 12GB + 512GB, and reaches 7,999 yuan for 16GB + 512GB. vivo is also offering a 16GB + 1TB satellite communication edition for 8,999 yuan, along with a higher-end photographer kit bundle priced at 11,999 yuan. Additional accessories include a dedicated imaging grip and two optional Zeiss teleconverters.

On the camera side, the vivo X300 Ultra uses what vivo calls a 3+2 Zeiss master lens group. The rear setup includes a 50MP 14mm ultra-wide camera based on the Sony LYTIA 818 sensor, a 200MP 35mm Zeiss documentary lens II using the Sony LYTIA 901 sensor, and a 200MP 85mm Zeiss telephoto camera with gimbal-level stabilization built around Samsung’s HP0 sensor.

vivo says the ultra-wide camera supports f/2.0 aperture and OIS, while the 35mm camera offers native optical output and improved low-noise imaging. The 85mm telephoto module is positioned as one of the biggest highlights, with 3-degree optical stabilization, up to 60 autofocus operations per second, and support for high-frame-rate tracking. The company is also offering external Zeiss teleconverter accessories that extend the equivalent focal length to 200mm and 400mm.

The phone is also built around a strong video story. vivo says the vivo X300 Ultra supports full-focal-length 4K 120fps Dolby Vision recording, 10-bit Log capture, 422 sampling, OIS video stabilization across the range, and a more advanced professional workflow with LUT support. A four-microphone array is included as part of that push toward more serious creator use.

Design-wise, vivo leans heavily into camera-inspired styling. The rear module uses a look reminiscent of a dedicated compact camera lens, while the frame edge carries a textured pattern modeled after traditional camera knurling. Color options include Film Green, Black Ka, and Silver Tone, with Silver Tone using a mountain-texture-inspired treatment on the back panel.

vivo also says the phone carries its latest color science work, including Blueprint Native Color video, a self-developed color appearance model, and a Blueprint Palette system that lets users fine-tune tone and color more directly. The device further supports all-focal-length 25MP direct output, aiming to make the image pipeline feel consistent rather than fragmented across cameras.

Overall, the vivo X300 Ultra looks like vivo’s clearest attempt yet to blur the line between a flagship smartphone and a pocketable creator tool. The hardware is high-end on its own, but the bigger story is how aggressively vivo is packaging the phone around photography, optics, and pro-style video capture.
