Samsung has now confirmed that the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 will launch in India on March 25 at 5:30 p.m. local time, which works out to 8:30 p.m. in Beijing. That gives Samsung a clear date for the next wave of its midrange phone lineup.
Based on earlier reporting cited by IT Home, the Galaxy A57 is expected to feature a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a new Exynos 1680 chip, a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 5-megapixel macro lens. Battery capacity is still expected to stay at 5000mAh, though wired charging may move up to 45W.
The Galaxy A37, meanwhile, is said to use a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED panel and could arrive with the older Exynos 1480 processor. It may also include an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera.
Both phones are expected to ship with One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 and offer six years of software updates, which would keep them competitive in the midrange segment for buyers who care about long-term support.
IT Home adds that the two devices are positioned as midrange models and will likely compete with phones such as Google’s Pixel 10a and the Nothing Phone (4a). If the leaked specs hold up, Samsung looks set to keep leaning on high-refresh AMOLED screens and longer software support as its main selling points in this part of the market.
