OnePlus 15T is set for March 24 with a 7,500mAh battery, 165Hz display, and compact flagship ambitions

OnePlus has officially confirmed that the OnePlus 15T will debut on March 24 at 7:00 p.m., and the company is pitching it as a small-screen phone that refuses to make the usual compromises. OnePlus China president Li Jie said many people assume compact phones are destined to give up battery life or performance, but the company wants this model to flip that idea on its head.

According to the official teaser language, the OnePlus 15T is being positioned as a true flagship in a smaller form factor. OnePlus claims it will outperform some larger phones in both performance and endurance, with the headline spec being a huge 7,500mAh battery. The company even says that battery capacity beats a number of Pro Max-class devices, which is a pretty aggressive statement for a compact handset.

The display is another major talking point. OnePlus says the phone will offer a 165Hz display, framing it as the only small-screen phone in its class to reach that refresh rate. The panel is described as a 6.32-inch flat screen with an extremely narrow 1.1mm physical bezel on all four sides, plus 1.5K resolution and a high screen-to-body ratio. If those claims hold up in real use, the device could land in a pretty unusual spot between gaming phone performance and mainstream flagship portability.

OnePlus is also emphasizing gaming hardware and tuning. The company says the phone combines its Fengchi gaming kernel with what it calls an esports triple-chip setup, suggesting the brand wants this compact device to feel just as serious for gaming as its larger siblings. At the same time, it says the phone won’t cut corners elsewhere, promising a 3.5x periscope telephoto camera, full waterproofing, full wireless charging, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

Design-wise, IT Home says it has already received the device ahead of the full review embargo and shared an early appearance overview. The phone will launch in several colors, including Healing White Chocolate, Relaxed Matcha, and Pure Cocoa. The version shown in the hands-on material is the lead white color, inspired by chocolate, with a matte finish applied across both the frame and back cover so the two materials still look visually consistent.

The OnePlus 15T keeps a flat display and sharp-edged frame combination, while reportedly preserving the kind of smooth yet slightly sandy hand feel seen on the OnePlus 15. A separate shortcut key remains on the left side of the frame, and OnePlus says it can handle three traditional sound profile toggles as well as up to eight customizable quick actions such as instant notes, mute, translation, or voice recording.

Accessories are also part of the package. The retail box is said to include a white 100W SUPERVOOC power adapter, the brand’s classic red-and-white cable, a SIM pin, and a matching soft silicone case. So while the launch event is still a few days away, OnePlus has already disclosed enough to make the OnePlus 15T look like a serious attempt at building a genuinely no-excuses compact flagship instead of just a smaller version with smaller expectations.
