OPPO details its March ColorOS update with one-tap DingTalk check-ins, AI call scam alerts, and smarter cross-device sharing

OPPO has shared a detailed breakdown of its ColorOS March update, and this round is packed with practical additions instead of just minor bug fixes. The company says the update brings new assistant features, broader device connectivity tools, and several safety-focused upgrades across supported phones running OPPO ColorOS.

On the AI side, one of the headline additions is voice-driven attendance support through the Breeno assistant. Users can ask the assistant to clock in with a simple command, and the system will show the check-in progress in real time. OPPO also says users can create automated attendance tasks tied to a set time and location, so a tap is all it takes when the moment arrives. At launch, that feature is limited to DingTalk, which makes DingTalk check-in one of the more concrete use cases in this update.

OPPO is also extending voice-based bookkeeping. Users can ask the assistant to record expenses, and those entries are then stored inside Breeno Memory for easier retrieval later. The company says it has improved bill search as well, so both automatically captured expense records and manually saved entries can be found more accurately. The daily view inside the bookkeeping collection has also been adjusted to make each day’s expenses easier to scan.

Another notable addition is automatic recording support in AI voice notes for certain Feishu and DingTalk scenarios, including joining video meetings or starting voice calls in supported cases. OPPO says this should make meeting capture easier without forcing users to start recordings manually every time.

Security is getting attention too. The new AI call scam alerts feature is designed to identify suspicious fraud signals during unfamiliar calls and warn users right away. OPPO is also adding a fraudulent-app launch interception function that can block risky apps from opening if the system detects signs of telecom or payment-related fraud. On top of that, some third-party apps are now being integrated with ColorOS confidential computing space to strengthen payment protection.

There are also several interface and ecosystem upgrades. On Windows PCs, OPPO says users can now right-click a local file and send it directly to a connected phone or tablet using OPPO sharing. The company is also adding an option that lets OPPO and OnePlus users decide whether received files should open automatically, which gives them a little more control over the file handoff experience. For phone-to-PC screen mirroring, hovering the mouse over icons in the phone window can now reveal the icon’s function name, making the interface easier to understand.

In the connected-car experience, OPPO says it has optimized the layout of the smart vehicle details page and the vehicle panel shown in device space so information reads more clearly. Content Portal is also getting more capable: it can now work with app clones, and it supports sending addresses directly to an in-car system so users do not have to type them manually.

Breeno Suggestions is gaining new cards as well. OPPO says users can now see sleep cards that provide bedtime reminders, sleep summaries, and even science-based sleep therapy content tailored to their habits. A traffic-data manager card is also being added to make mobile data usage easier to track.

A handful of broader lifestyle and utility features are included in the release too. Users can import class schedules into the calendar and view each day’s courses in more detail. The weather map can now display temperature distribution and typhoon information, and a severe-weather notification service has been added to alert users when conditions change suddenly. OPPO also says it has optimized battery life and frame-rate stability for the game “Roco Kingdom: World” to improve the play experience.

According to OPPO, the March rollout began on March 10 and is being pushed in batches. The company expects the deployment to finish before March 31 and says the update will eventually cover more than 100 devices running ColorOS 13 or newer.
