vivo has officially started sales of the vivo X300 Ultra, a flagship phone built around imaging hardware and camera-style accessories rather than just raw benchmark numbers. The phone starts at 6,999 yuan and stretches to 11,999 yuan for the satellite-communication photographer kit, with multiple storage options in between.
The base 12GB + 256GB version is priced at 6,999 yuan, followed by 12GB + 512GB at 7,499 yuan and 16GB + 512GB at 7,999 yuan. vivo also offers a 16GB + 1TB satellite communication edition at 8,999 yuan, while the top-tier 16GB + 1TB photographer kit is listed at 11,999 yuan. Separate accessories include a professional imaging grip for 699 yuan, the Zeiss G2 teleconverter for 999 yuan, a bundled G2 grip kit for 1,499 yuan, the G2 Ultra teleconverter for 1,999 yuan, and the G2 Ultra grip kit for 2,499 yuan.
The big story is the Zeiss camera setup. vivo says the rear system uses a 3+2 master-lens arrangement. That includes a 50MP 14mm ultra-wide camera based on a Sony LYTIA 818 sensor, a 200MP 35mm documentary lens II using a Sony LYTIA 901 sensor, and a 200MP 85mm telephoto camera that vivo describes as the industry’s first large-sensor gimbal-style periscope with Samsung HP0 imaging hardware. The company also highlights Zeiss T* coating, stronger optical stabilization, and full-focal-length 25MP direct output.
vivo is also leaning hard into the accessory story. The phone supports both a 200mm Zeiss G2 teleconverter and a 400mm G2 Ultra teleconverter, with the longer option using a 2-group, 15-element optical structure that includes low-dispersion glass and an aspherical element. The company says these add-ons are aimed at faster focusing, steadier long-range shooting, and more serious event or sports capture from a phone-sized system.
Beyond still photography, the vivo X300 Ultra is positioned as a pocket video tool. vivo says it supports full-focal-length 4K 120fps Dolby Vision recording, 10-bit Log capture, 422 sampling, OIS video stabilization across all focal lengths, and LUT monitoring workflows for creators who want a more professional post-production path. A four-microphone array is also built in to improve audio pickup during filming.
The rest of the package still reads like a true flagship. The phone uses Qualcomm’s fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite platform, a 2.5D flat display, and camera-inspired industrial design details including a ring-textured frame edge and a silver accent around the module. Color options include Film Green, Black Ka, and Silver Tone. Put simply, vivo is trying to sell the X300 Ultra as a serious mobile photography device first and a premium smartphone second.
