Motorola’s first large foldable, the moto razr fold, has now shown up on major retail listings in China, with the product pages pointing to a May 31 reservation window. That doesn’t mean the phone is on sale yet, but it does signal that the local launch rollout is moving closer to the next stage.
The device was previously introduced at MWC 2026, and the listing lines up with the high-end hardware Motorola already announced. The phone is expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, ship with 16GB of RAM, and pack a 6000mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
On the display side, the moto razr fold is said to feature an 8.09-inch inner LTPO panel with a 2882 x 2232 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, along with a 6.56-inch outer screen rated at 2520 x 1080 and 165Hz. Motorola is also pairing the phone with Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 and support for the Moto Pen Ultra stylus.
Camera hardware is positioned well above what people normally expect from foldables. The reported setup includes a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto camera, plus separate front cameras for the outer and inner displays. The body is also notably thin for the category at 9.9mm when folded and 4.6mm when unfolded, with a weight of about 244 grams.
Pricing from the earlier global announcement was set at 1,999 euros, so this isn’t aiming at the mainstream segment. Even so, the new retail listing gives a clearer timeline for the next commercial step, and it puts the Motorola foldable phone back in the spotlight as more brands push premium book-style foldables in 2026.
