Xiaomi has published a new upgrade bulletin for Xiaomi HyperOS 3, outlining a broad wave of app and feature updates across its software ecosystem. The changes cover Super XiaoAI, CarWith, File Manager, Smart Assistant, Xiaomi Smart Card, Clock, Notes, Calculator, and several other system apps.
One of the headline additions is a new three-finger swipe-up gesture that triggers XiaoAI Memory, making it easier to save what’s currently on screen. Xiaomi also added a floating island-style status bubble for XiaoAI Memory, plus smart recommendations to add calendar events when users save screen content through that tool. These features require system version 3.0.301 or later and Super XiaoAI version 7.12.0 or later.
CarWith is also getting a notable update. Xiaomi says classic desktop casting now supports custom layouts, letting users adjust both the desktop arrangement and the content shown on screen. After a successful casting session, the phone can display a Xiaomi Super Island entry that expands to show connection details, and tapping the empty part of the detail screen can open CarWith settings. Xiaomi also added a minimalist Carlink floating-window mode, where enlarging the mini window switches into the classic desktop layout. Some visual effects, including advanced material-style backgrounds, require supported phones and CarWith version 4.0.0 or later.
In File Manager, Xiaomi added support for pinning folders directly to the home screen for quicker access. The app can also now remotely access files on a Xiaomi Book Pro 14, provided File Manager is updated to version 8.2.2.4 or later.
Xiaomi is also refining the broader interface experience. Smart Assistant gets updated bottom navigation visuals for a more immersive feel, while the widget center improves photo and video selection. The company says it has also optimized animation smoothness in some scenarios and fixed certain cloud sync and conversion failures. For Recorder, Xiaomi fixed an issue where completed call recordings could show incorrect durations in some cases, with the update requiring Recorder version 7.8.9 or later.
There are several changes around device migration and digital keys as well. Xiaomi says private SMS management is now more independent, though users need privacy verification before phone-to-phone migration. The company also improved connection stability in Xiaomi Switch so that if one device disconnects, the other can detect it and exit properly. On top of that, Xiaomi phones can now receive card keys shared from an iPhone, as long as the card brand is supported by Xiaomi Smart Card and the iPhone is running iOS 18 or later.
Additional fixes include resolving mismatched naming in door-card deletion pop-ups, correcting a case where Xiaomi smart lock cards did not change after successful activation, and fixing accidental card pop-ups during wireless charging in some Xiaomi vehicle scenarios. Xiaomi notes that these changes require Xiaomi Smart Card version 26.03.09.1.f or later and Xiaomi Digital Key Framework version 13.0.52 or later.
Xiaomi also says it improved image and PDF clarity during import and export in Xiaomi Creation, smoothed out some image-regeneration animations, and fixed several stylus-related issues, including shape movement, disappearing shapes, uncleared doodles after selection deletion, and weak portrait-mode handwriting response. Those changes require Xiaomi Creation version 3.8.4 or later.
The update bulletin also lists a number of everyday quality-of-life improvements:
- The Messages app adds smarter interception for malicious merchant verification-code spam by temporarily silencing notifications when repeated attacks are detected.
- The Clock app now supports vibration alerts when a timer finishes and improves animation smoothness when adding or editing alarms.
- The Notes app improves keyboard summon smoothness on editing pages.
- Screen-time detail pages will no longer show usage time for hidden apps.
- Family Guard receives UI adaptation improvements on some pages.
- Compass accessibility mode fixes abnormal focus announcements for the level tool.
- Calculator fixes missing quick-entry shortcuts for Scientific Calculator and Conversion in some long-press scenarios, along with missing voice prompts on the Conversion page in some cases.
Xiaomi says users need updated app versions to access different parts of the rollout, including Messages 17.0.2.16 or later, Clock 17.48.0 or later, Notes 2.3.6.5 or later, Xiaomi Settings 16.3.260403.00 or later, Family Guard 3.13.04.02.00 or later, Compass 16.2.7.1 or later, and Calculator 16.2.5 or later.
