Honor X80 Pro Max Launch Set for June 22 With an 11,000mAh Battery and Rugged Design

Honor has officially scheduled the Honor X80 Pro Max launch event for June 22 at 7:00 p.m. China time. The company is positioning the phone around long battery life and durability, two features that have become increasingly important in China’s midrange Android market.

The headline specification is the battery. Honor says the new model will carry an 11,000mAh battery, which the company describes as its largest phone battery to date. Honor is also promoting a “gold label” drop-resistance promise that includes free screen replacement coverage, suggesting the device is being marketed to users who want a tougher everyday phone.

Previous leaks from Digital Chat Station point to a fairly complete hardware package. The phone is expected to come in four colors: Lightning Red, Armor Black, Moon Shadow White, and Vitality Orange. It is also said to use a flagship-style industrial design rather than a purely budget-focused shell.

On the front, the Honor X80 Pro Max is rumored to feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with a 2788 × 1280 resolution. That would put it above many basic endurance phones, which often trade display quality for battery capacity.

The device is also expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor. Charging is tipped at 90W charging, which should help offset the longer recharge time normally associated with such a large battery.

Another source, Wangzai Baishitong, says Honor will emphasize durability, toughness, and battery life. The phone is said to support 90W wired charging, 27W wired reverse charging, high-level dust and water resistance, and a body designed to better survive drops and rough daily use.

If these details are confirmed, the Honor X80 Pro Max will not be chasing ultra-thin flagship design. Instead, it looks like a practical large-battery phone for users who care more about runtime, charging speed, and physical resilience than having the lightest possible device.
