A new Maimang phone with the model number Maimang TYH232U has passed China’s telecom equipment network access certification, giving an early look at its core specifications even though official device photos have not yet been published.
The model number is interesting because China Telecom previously registered a Tianyi No. 1 2023 model in April 2023 with the same TYH232U identifier. That earlier device did not receive much follow-up coverage, but the latest certification suggests the model may now be moving forward under the Maimang brand.
According to the network access information, the new handset measures 162.5 × 74.2 × 8.5 mm and weighs 195 grams. The front is listed with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display at 1080 × 2400 resolution, paired with a 13-megapixel selfie camera.
For rear cameras, the phone is listed with a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel secondary camera, and a 2-megapixel sensor. That setup points to a mainstream mid-range camera configuration rather than a flagship imaging package.

The processor is described as an octa-core chip clocked at up to 2.7GHz. Based on the information available, the device is expected to use a Unisoc T820 platform, which would position it as a practical 5G phone rather than a premium performance model.

Memory options include 8GB and 12GB RAM versions, while storage is listed at 128GB or 256GB. The phone also supports microSD expansion of up to 256GB, a feature that can still matter for users who keep large media libraries offline.
Battery capacity is listed at a rated 4,950mAh battery. The device supports dual-mode 5G and is also compatible with GSM, WCDMA, and LTE networks. The certification data also mentions an under-display fingerprint reader.
Taken together, the Maimang TYH232U looks like a mid-range 5G handset built around a large AMOLED screen, expandable storage, a near-5,000mAh battery, and a 50-megapixel main camera. Pricing and launch timing have not yet been confirmed.
