A new size comparison shared by tipster Ice Universe is putting the upcoming Huawei Pura X Max and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide side by side, giving foldable phone watchers a clearer sense of how these two large-format devices may differ in hand.
According to the leaked figures, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide measures 123.9 x 161.4 x 4.3 mm when unfolded. Folded up, it reportedly comes in at 123.9 x 82.2 x 9.8 mm. The leak also says Samsung is using a 4:3 inner display ratio and a 4.7:3 outer display ratio.
By comparison, the Huawei Pura X Max is said to measure 120 x 166.5 x 5.2 mm when unfolded and 120 x 85 x 11.2 mm when folded. That would make Huawei’s device a bit taller and thicker overall, while also landing with slightly different proportions for the cover and main screens.
The breakdown included in the leak lists Huawei’s outer display ratio at 4.4:3 and its inner display ratio at 4.24:3. On paper, that suggests Huawei may be aiming for a somewhat different balance between one-handed usability and tablet-like viewing space than Samsung.
None of these dimensions are official product announcements yet, so they should still be treated as pre-release information. Even so, the comparison offers an early look at how two high-profile foldable phone designs could stack up in terms of width, thickness, and screen shape before launch.
