A fresh certification appearance is giving us an earlier look at the upcoming Xiaomi 17T. According to a report citing Brazil’s Anatel certification database, the standard model has now surfaced with real-world exterior images, offering a better sense of Xiaomi’s next mid-to-upper-tier design direction.

The leaked hardware doesn’t appear to reinvent the formula, but it does show a few clear visual changes. The report says the phone still follows the general look of the earlier 15T generation, though the rear camera island has been rearranged. It uses a triple-camera layout, while a fourth cutout appears to be decorative rather than functional. The Leica branding remains centered in the module, and the LED flash has been moved outside the main camera block, giving the back a layout that feels closer to the broader Xiaomi 15 family.

On the specs side, the most important rumor is the chipset. The article says the Xiaomi 17T is expected to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500, which would place it in a fairly competitive performance tier for this class of phone. Camera hardware is said to stay largely in line with the previous generation, including a 50MP main camera, a 50MP 2x telephoto camera, and a 12MP ultrawide camera.

Battery capacity is where the leak gets more interesting. The device is reportedly set to include a 6500mAh battery, paired with 67W wired charging. If that combination makes it to the final retail product, Xiaomi could be aiming for a stronger battery-life pitch without giving up relatively fast charging speeds.

There’s also a regional packaging detail in the report. The Brazil-bound version may ship with a 67W charger in the box, while the European version could arrive without one. That kind of split wouldn’t be surprising given the different accessory and regulatory expectations across markets.

At this point, none of these details should be treated as final launch specs. Still, the certification listing and exterior images make the leak feel more concrete than a typical rumor-only report, and they suggest Xiaomi is sticking with a familiar camera recipe while putting extra emphasis on battery size and mainstream flagship-inspired styling.
