Huawei Pura X Max Reportedly Sold About 1.8 Times as Much as the Pura X in Its First Week

A Chinese market watcher who frequently tracks domestic smartphone share data said the Huawei Pura X Max had a strong first seven days on sale, with sell-through reportedly reaching about 180% of the level posted by the standard Pura X over the same launch window.

The same post claimed the regular Pura X Max, which starts at 10,999 yuan, accounted for roughly 45% of sales, while the higher-end Collector’s Edition made up about 55%. That split suggests buyers were willing to spend more for the premium version during the device’s initial release period.

IT Home also referenced earlier IDC data saying the original Huawei Pura X shipped more than 1.5 million units during its first year on the market through the end of March 2026. According to that report, the single model outsold the combined flagship foldable products of the next three competing brands.

The first-week sales snapshot is especially notable because Huawei positions the Pura X Max as the industry’s first horizontally wide foldable phone. The model officially went on sale on April 25 at 10:08 a.m., with a starting price of 10,999 yuan.

Huawei’s listed configurations break down as follows:

  • 12GB + 256GB: 10,999 yuan
  • 12GB + 512GB: 11,999 yuan
  • 16GB + 512GB Collector’s Edition: 12,999 yuan
  • 16GB + 1TB Collector’s Edition: 13,999 yuan

Based on the reported collector edition mix, the early sales pattern points to especially strong interest in the upper-tier versions rather than just entry pricing.
