Honor 600 China Launch Window Tipped for Late May With Snapdragon 8 Elite and Six Colors

A new leak suggests the Chinese release of the Honor 600 series is tentatively set for the second half of this month. The information comes from tipster Digital Chat Station, who also said the lineup has been filed in six color options: Good Luck Orange, Lucky Star, Jasmine White, Green Apple, Feather Blue, and Obsidian Black.

Publicly available details for the international version point to fairly high-end hardware. The phone is said to use a 6.57-inch 1.5K LTPS flat display with a 120Hz refresh rate, extremely slim and symmetrical bezels measuring about 0.98mm, and 3840Hz PWM dimming. The reported core platform includes Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, a 50-megapixel front camera, and a rear camera setup built around a 200-megapixel 1/1.4-inch main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 50-megapixel 3.5x periscope telephoto lens.

The leak also says the device includes several premium extras beyond the camera and chipset. Those features reportedly include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, a metal frame, and IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. Taken together, that would position the Honor 600 as a flagship-level device rather than a midrange refresh.

IT Home also noted that listings on Honor’s overseas site show both the Honor 600 and 600 Pro international variants with 7000mAh typical batteries and support for up to 20V/4A fast charging. Earlier reports have claimed the Chinese-market versions may push capacity even further, with engineering test units reportedly reaching roughly 8500mAh to 9000mAh. If that ends up carrying over to retail devices, battery life could become one of the biggest talking points around the launch.

For now, the release timing and China-specific hardware details still fall into the rumor category. Even so, the combination of a possible late May launch, a Snapdragon 8 Elite platform, and unusually large battery expectations makes the Honor 600 one of the more closely watched upcoming Android phone releases.
