A fresh leak suggests Xiaomi is testing a new performance-focused phone in what could become the REDMI K100 lineup. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, an iterative sub-brand flagship engineering device is currently being evaluated with a roughly 6.6-inch display and an 8500mAh battery, with the company also said to be exploring an even larger cell.
The same leak says the prototype supports 100W charging over a wired connection and also adds 50W wireless charging. That combination would stand out in a segment where very large batteries often show up without equally aggressive charging support, especially when wireless charging is involved.

One small extra detail came from the comment section. When someone asked whether the screen would be 2K, the tipster replied, “sort of,” which hints at a display resolution that lands close to that class without fully spelling it out.
While the device name was not stated directly, Chinese media expectations are already leaning toward the REDMI K100 series. The leak doesn’t go much further than that, so details like the exact chipset, camera setup, and launch timing are still unclear for now.
For context, current pricing in the existing lineup starts at 2,599 yuan for the REDMI K90, 2,999 yuan for the REDMI K90 Max, and 4,199 yuan for the REDMI K90 Pro Max after a price increase. If this new engineering model turns into a shipping product, Xiaomi may be aiming to push battery capacity even harder while keeping the fast-charging appeal that has long helped define the series.
