The vivo X500 series has reportedly surfaced in the GSMA IMEI database, giving one of the clearest early signs yet that vivo is preparing its next flagship lineup. Smartprix says the range appears to include at least the vivo X500, vivo X500 Pro, and vivo X500e.
Based on current leak chatter, the standard model could target the compact-flagship segment, while the Pro version may lean harder into premium imaging and all-around top-end performance. The X500e, meanwhile, is expected to sit in a more value-focused position for buyers who still want a strong feature set.
One notable detail in the report is the naming. vivo may be skipping the X400 branding entirely and jumping from the X300 family to the vivo X500 series, apparently avoiding the number 4 in the process.
As for hardware, the standard model is rumored to use a 6.37-inch display, while the Pro could move to a 6.83-inch 2K LTPO OLED panel. The lineup is also rumored to support a 144Hz refresh rate across the board, along with 3D ultrasonic fingerprint recognition.
The chipset currently linked to the series is MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600, which is said to bring gains in speed, efficiency, and AI performance, possibly using TSMC’s 2nm manufacturing process. As always, that part should still be treated as pre-release speculation until more evidence shows up.
Camera performance is expected to remain one of vivo’s biggest selling points. The report says the X500 family may introduce LOFIC sensor technology, especially on the Pro model, to reduce highlight clipping and improve dynamic range in bright scenes.
Battery expectations are also aggressive. Leaked details suggest capacities could reach as high as 7,000mAh, with support for 100W fast charging. If accurate, that would give the upcoming phones a strong endurance story to match the rumored display and camera upgrades.
Industry timing and the current pace of leaks suggest the vivo X500 series could debut in China around September or October 2026. Until then, the database appearance mainly serves as an early marker that the lineup is moving closer to the public stage.
