A new leak shared by tipster Erencan Yılmaz suggests the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE will keep using one of Samsung’s own chips instead of moving fully to Qualcomm. The part most widely linked to the phone right now is the Exynos 2500.

The source did not name the processor outright in the original post, but Android Authority believes the most likely match is the same Exynos 2500 platform expected for the Galaxy Z Flip7. For now, it still isn’t clear whether Samsung could also release a Snapdragon version in some regions.

Looking at the recent FE lineup, the rumor makes strategic sense. The Galaxy S25 FE used the Exynos 2400, while the Galaxy S24 FE shipped with the Exynos 2400e. Samsung has often positioned the Fan Edition line as a way to balance cost and performance by using either a tuned-down or previous-generation flagship-class chip.

The timing in the leak is just as notable. The report says the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE could arrive in September during a Galaxy Unpacked event, possibly alongside the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8.

Public benchmark data adds a little more detail. IT Home noted that the phone has already appeared in Geekbench, where it posted a single-core score of 2426 and a multi-core score of 8004 in version 6.2.2 of the benchmark. The listing points to a 10-core Exynos 2500 chip paired with 8GB of RAM.

The CPU configuration shown in that benchmark includes one Cortex-X925 core clocked at 3.30GHz, two Cortex-A725 cores at 2.74GHz, five more Cortex-A725 cores at 2.36GHz, and two Cortex-A520 efficiency cores at 1.80GHz.

As always with pre-launch device leaks, the final hardware mix could still change before release. Even so, the repeated references to Exynos 2500 and the September window make this one of the clearest early looks yet at Samsung’s next Fan Edition phone.
