Lenovo Legion Y70 Successor Surfaces on Geekbench With Snapdragon 8 Gen5

A new handset listed as motorola XT2611-1 has shown up on Geekbench, and a report from Gizmochina says it is expected to reach the Chinese market as the next Lenovo Legion Y70. While the benchmark entry uses Motorola branding, the broader product story points to Lenovo’s gaming-focused phone line rather than a standard Moto release.

According to the listing, the device scored 2,615 points in single-core testing and 6,681 points in multi-core results on Geekbench 6.7.1. The chip is identified as SM8845, which the report links to Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen5. That gives the phone an early performance marker and lines up with expectations that Lenovo is preparing a higher-end refresh for the Legion series.

Earlier official teasers add more detail to the picture. Lenovo has already highlighted a family-style Legion design, a finely textured glass back, and an aerospace-grade aluminum frame. The company has also promoted an esports-oriented grip design, a 2K gaming display that it says uses less power than rival 1.5K panels, and an 8000mAh battery rated for 1,200 charge cycles while keeping at least 80 percent health after seven years. Cooling is another major talking point, with Lenovo claiming an industry-first combination of gel, liquid metal, and a vapor chamber to improve heat dissipation.

Lenovo China is scheduled to hold a launch event on May 19 under the theme of AI, connected devices, and full-scenario products. Alongside the new Lenovo Legion Y70, the event is also expected to feature the Moto Razr Fold, the Lenovo YOGA Air 14 Ultra laptop, the Legion Y900 AI tablet, and the Legion Y7000X notebook. Lenovo hasn’t officially confirmed the final retail name or full specifications yet, but the benchmark appearance and pre-launch teasers make it clear that a new gaming phone is close to debut.
