vivo is continuing its preview campaign for the vivo S60 series, and one of the biggest takeaways so far is that the company plans to standardize several high-end features across the entire lineup instead of saving them for the top model only.
Han Boxiao, product manager at vivo Communication Technology, said the series will be the only lineup in its class to offer a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on every model. He framed the move as part of vivo’s effort to bring flagship-level hardware into the everyday parts of the user experience rather than treating those upgrades as spec-sheet extras.
According to vivo’s preview, the new 3D ultrasonic fingerprint 2.0 system can recognize a fingerprint in as little as 0.1 seconds, while enrollment can be completed in about 1 second. That would make it meaningfully faster and more convenient than many optical in-display sensors still used in the same market segment.
Battery life is another major focus. IT Home says the full vivo S60 range will ship with a 7200mAh battery described as an ultra-thin Blue Ocean battery, along with 90W fast charging and global direct-drive power delivery. The lineup is also expected to support IP68 and IP69 protection, stereo speakers, infrared remote control, and an X-axis linear motor.
Han had also previously highlighted the white version of the phone, saying it uses a silver-white base tone inspired by sunlight shimmering on the summer sea. He added that the design includes a large one-piece cold-carved glass back, suggesting vivo is trying to pair unusually large battery capacity with a look that still feels slim and refined.
