A fresh Motorola render leak is offering an early look at the rumored Moto Edge 2026, and the design points to a fairly clear direction: Motorola may be sticking with a flatter, more practical hardware approach instead of chasing dramatic curves.
The newly shared renders show the phone in a warm champagne-gold finish, with matching metallic tones around the frame. On the right side, the device appears to keep the standard volume and power buttons, while an extra button can be seen toward the upper left edge. The report does not confirm what that additional key is for, so that part remains unclear for now.
The most notable design detail may be the move to a flat display. According to the source, the Moto Edge 2026 is expected to adopt a flat-screen front panel rather than a curved one. For many users, that could be a welcome change, since flat panels are usually easier to protect with screen protectors and can also reduce accidental edge touches during everyday use.
On the back, Motorola may be experimenting with a surface finish that looks more like woven fabric than glossy glass. If that texture makes it to the final retail version, it could help cut down on fingerprints while giving the phone a more distinctive feel in hand.
The camera layout shown in the renders includes a triple rear camera setup and a centered punch-hole selfie camera on the front. A close look at the camera ring also appears to reveal labels such as OIS, Super Zoom, and Sony LYTIA, though full camera specifications have not been confirmed yet. Based on the launch timing of the previous generation, the Moto Edge 2026 could arrive sometime in late May or June.
