A new market watcher post claims the Huawei Mate 80 lineup has now crossed a notable sales milestone in China. According to the leak, cumulative sell-through for the series reached 6.0935 million units as of week 20 of 2026, covering May 11 through May 17.
The same source had previously said the lineup was at 5.9292 million units through week 19. If both figures are accurate, that would mean the family added roughly 164,300 units in one week and moved cleanly past the 6 million mark.
Huawei Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro Max, and Mate 80 RS were originally introduced on November 25 last year. The report says the series ships with Kirin 9020, Kirin 9030, and Kirin 9030 Pro chips across the range, launched on HarmonyOS 6, and started at 4,699 yuan. Huawei later also added a Pro Max Fengchi Edition to the broader family.

The source recap also outlines the main configuration differences across the lineup rather than just giving a simple sales number. Color options include Polar Day Gold and Polar Night Black across the range, while the standard model also comes in Polar Silver and Aurora Green.
Memory and battery details vary by model. The source notes 12GB and 16GB memory configurations depending on version, while battery capacities span from a typical 5,750mAh pack with a 5,620mAh rated value to a typical 6,000mAh pack with a 5,870mAh rated value.
- Charging support listed in the roundup includes 66W wired fast charging, 5W wired reverse charging, 50W wireless fast charging, and wireless reverse charging on some versions.
- Higher-end models are also described with 100W wired fast charging, 18W wired reverse charging, and 80W wireless fast charging.
Camera hardware is split across several tiers, but the shared theme is clearly flagship imaging. The recap mentions combinations that include a 50MP variable-aperture main camera, a 50MP high-dynamic-range camera, a 40MP ultra-wide camera, a 12MP periscope telephoto camera, 48MP macro telephoto hardware, 50MP macro telephoto hardware, a 50MP ultra-telephoto camera, and Huawei’s second-generation Red Maple color camera depending on model.
Display details also differ by trim. The source lists 6.75-inch and 6.9-inch panels, FHD+ resolutions including 2832×1280, 2848×1320, and 2832×1320, flat-screen designs, second-generation Kunlun Glass on multiple models, third-generation Xuanwu-tempered Kunlun Glass on one model, and 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rates across the lineup.
Satellite features remain part of the package as well. Depending on version, the lineup is said to support Beidou satellite messaging through Changlian, carrier Beidou satellite texting, and even Tiantong satellite communication on select devices.
None of this turns the leak into an official Huawei sales filing, but it does suggest the Mate 80 family is still moving at scale and remains one of the more closely watched premium smartphone lines in the domestic market.
