Huawei had already teased its next nova spokespersons with a short preview video showing seven silhouettes. Not long after that, fans shared behind-the-scenes footage on social media that appeared to show group leader Ma Jiaqi holding an unreleased nova 16 handset during a recording session.
The bigger headline for buyers is the timing. Huawei says the nova 16 launch date is set for June 1, positioning the upcoming phones as the centerpiece of the nova series’ tenth-anniversary push. The lineup is expected to arrive in Sky Blue, Iridescent Pearl, Skyline White, and Starry Black finishes.
Chinese leak chatter cited by the source article says the nova 16 family could be one of the rare offline-focused camera phone lines to receive broad upgrades this year, with imaging, performance, and battery life all reportedly getting attention.
