Xiaomi has posted a fresh Xiaomi HyperOS 3 update notice, and this one is mostly about polishing the day-to-day experience across a wide set of built-in apps. The headline addition is a new seasonal photo overlay: the Gallery app now includes a limited-time graduation watermark designed for graduation-season photos.

According to the update note, users will need Xiaomi Gallery Edit version 2.3.0.8.3 or later to access that feature. Xiaomi is framing it as a simple way to mark graduation moments and save a more personal keepsake directly from the photo-editing flow.

Beyond that cosmetic addition, the rest of the changelog leans heavily into stability and performance work. Xiaomi says it has improved animation smoothness in several scenarios and fixed a number of recurring problems in Notes, including abnormal title display for voice notes, keyboard flicker when creating a new mind-map note, and failures in both voice-to-text and recording transcription under some conditions.

Those Notes fixes require updated app versions as well. Xiaomi says the phone version of Notes should be updated to 2.4.0.9 or later, while the tablet version should be on 2.4.1.0 or later.

The company also lists a broader batch of bug fixes for system tools and daily-use features. Recorder gets fixes for occasional app crashes, no-response states, unusual standby power drain, and notification cards that do not disappear correctly after being tapped. Family Guardian is getting faster page loading, smoother browsing, a fix for cases where family devices could not be located, and better page display when system text is enlarged to its maximum size.

Xiaomi also says it fixed background-display problems in some cases, corrected failures related to XiaoAi smart ringtone settings in dark mode, and resolved countdown-display issues in the Clock app, which needs version 17.61.0 or later.

On the communications and utility side, the company says Trip Assistant now pushes itinerary reminders more promptly and keeps important trip nodes visible longer on Xiaomi Super Island. It also mentions smoother call-record scrolling, a fix for cases where Super Island did not appear after a successful screen-off transit-card tap, and corrections for screenshot-related issues such as abnormal thumbnails during continuous capture and an unresponsive Share button on the screenshot editing page.

Rounding out the changelog are fixes for abnormal Smart Assistant binding status, missing SMS notifications in some scenarios, media viewer crashes, and weather widget display glitches. There is no major feature redesign here, but the update reads like a typical maintenance-heavy release meant to make Xiaomi HyperOS 3 feel more stable across the small interactions people hit every day.
