Bloomberg has shared a new batch of mockup images that offer an early look at Apple’s rumored iOS 27 interface changes, with the biggest focus landing on a major Siri redesign. According to the report, the images were created from information Bloomberg obtained from people familiar with Apple’s plans, though the final version Apple unveils in June could still change.

The report says Siri in iOS 27 will be integrated more directly into the Dynamic Island. Users would be able to trigger Siri either by saying “Hey, Siri” or by holding the power button, which would then bring up a newly designed Siri animation from the top of the screen.

There’s also said to be a new search and question-and-answer view. From any screen in the system, users could swipe down from the top center of the phone to open this panel. That interface would support typed input while still keeping voice commands available, and it could also surface Siri suggestions and web search results in the same place.

Apple is reportedly adjusting another familiar gesture at the same time. In the new layout, the Notification Center would open by swiping down from the upper-left corner of the display rather than using the same motion from the middle top area.

Through the revised Siri search view, users are expected to be able to launch apps, send text messages, check the weather, create calendar events, search notes, run in-app shortcuts, and browse the web with Apple’s new AI search system. Bloomberg says that search system is intended to compete with services such as Perplexity. Results would appear as rich cards emerging from the Dynamic Island, and users could keep swiping down to move into a standalone Siri chat-style app.

One of the more notable details is Apple’s testing around third-party AI assistants. The report says Apple is exploring a system that would let iOS 27 connect with AI services installed through the App Store. Apple already works with ChatGPT, and it has also reportedly tested deeper ties between Siri and other AI tools from Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude. In this setup, users could pass a question from the search interface directly to a third-party AI service by tapping a dedicated selection button.

The mockups also show how Siri could appear inside the Camera app, along with a separate Siri chatbot application whose general look is compared to mainstream AI chat products like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude.

For information lookups, Siri would reportedly present people, places, and news in rich card layouts. The same card style would also be used for weather forecasts and sports scores, while personal on-device data such as notes, messages, email, contacts, calendars, and reminders could appear in the same format when users search.

The report adds that Apple is testing more camera customization in iOS 27 as well, including a widget panel for pinning frequently used tools and controls. The mockups also point to AI-assisted grammar correction plus image expansion and reframing tools for photo editing.

Apple is scheduled to hold its WWDC keynote at 1:00 a.m. Beijing time on June 9, when it is expected to formally introduce iOS 27. Until then, these images remain an early preview rather than a final product reveal.
