The upcoming Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ has prematurely surfaced on Motorola’s official website in India, giving us a comprehensive look at what the brand has in store for its next high-performance mid-ranger. Packed with modern specs, the new phone pairs MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 Extreme chip with an incredibly sleek chassis that houses a massive 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery.
Display Specs
Up front, the device features a gorgeous 6.8-inch AMOLED screen boasting a sharp 2772×1272 resolution and an impressive 96.80% screen-to-body ratio. This display isn’t just about sharp visuals—it supports HDR10+, covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and runs at a buttery-smooth 144Hz refresh rate. Outdoors, it remains perfectly readable thanks to a peak brightness of up to 5,200 nits and a High Brightness Mode (HBM) of 1,800 nits.

Performance and OS
Under the hood, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ runs on MediaTek’s new Dimensity 8500 Extreme system-on-chip, backed by 12GB of fast LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of high-speed UFS 4.1 storage. Out of the box, it runs Android 16, and Motorola promises three years of major OS upgrades along with five years of security patches.
Smart Features and Durability
On the software side, the device introduces Motorola’s new “Catch Me Up” feature. This AI-powered tool summarizes unread notifications across multiple apps and reminds you of important follow-up tasks. It is also built to survive the elements, carrying a robust IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance rating alongside military-grade MIL-STD 810H certification. Dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio certification round out the media experience.
Power and Charging
The real showstopper is the massive 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery. Despite this massive capacity, the phone measures just 7.34mm thick and weighs 190 grams. To keep down-time to a minimum, it supports 90W TurboPower wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging, in addition to 5W reverse wired charging.
Camera System
For photography, the rear setup is anchored by a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The main sensor is supported by a 50MP autofocus ultra-wide lens and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom. Up front, selfies are handled by a high-resolution 50MP front-facing camera.
The device will be available in three Pantone-certified colors: PANTONE Zinfandel, PANTONE Chicory Coffee, and PANTONE Stormy Sea.
