Coolpad has listed the new Coolpad Fengshang 80 Pro on JD.com in China, positioning it as a very affordable large-screen Android phone rather than a flagship device.
The phone is configured with a MediaTek G99 processor, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. Its official listing price is 798 yuan, while some regions can bring the effective price down to 679.15 yuan after local consumer subsidies.
For US readers, that places the device in the roughly sub-$115 range before any import costs or regional differences. It is mainly useful as a snapshot of how aggressively Chinese brands are pricing entry-level and lower-midrange smartphones during the country’s mid-year shopping season.

The Coolpad Fengshang 80 Pro comes in three color options: purple, white, and black. The body measures 9mm thick, and the back uses what Coolpad describes as a crystal-diamond-style finish.
On the front, the phone uses a 6.7-inch IPS LCD panel with a punch-hole design. The display resolution is 1640 x 720, and the refresh rate goes up to 90Hz. That means the panel is large and smoother than a basic 60Hz screen, though the resolution is still clearly budget-tier.
The rear camera setup is also modest. Coolpad lists a 13-megapixel camera on the back, so buyers should not expect the kind of multi-camera imaging system found on more expensive phones.

Inside, the MediaTek G99 is paired with 6GB of memory and 128GB of internal storage. The chipset is not new, but it remains common in inexpensive 4G smartphones where brands want acceptable daily performance without pushing up the bill of materials.
Battery capacity is listed at 4,000mAh. That is smaller than what many budget Android phones now offer, especially in China, where 5,000mAh or larger batteries are common even at low prices. Still, the lower-resolution display may help keep everyday power consumption in check.
The phone runs Coolpad’s Freeme OS software. IT Home also notes that the listing includes a full specification table, while the article separately carried JD.com and Taobao 618 shopping-promotion links that are not relevant to the phone’s core specs.
Overall, this budget smartphone is not trying to compete with premium models. Its main selling points are a low launch price, a 6.7-inch 90Hz screen, 128GB of storage, and a recognizable MediaTek chipset for buyers who mainly need calls, messaging, video apps, and basic everyday use.
