Samsung’s 2026 flagship lineup may include a new Pro model positioned close to the Ultra. According to a report from SamMobile, Samsung is expected to launch four straight-screen flagship phones this year: Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, Galaxy S27 Pro, and Galaxy S27 Ultra.
The interesting part is where the Galaxy S27 Pro may sit in the lineup. The report says the Pro model is expected to be very similar to the Galaxy S27 Ultra, with the main differences coming down to S Pen support and screen size.
Leaker Kro claims the Galaxy S27 Pro will use a display close to 6.5 inches and include a built-in 5000mAh battery. If accurate, that would put the Pro model’s battery capacity in the same range as Samsung’s Ultra models, including the Galaxy S26 Ultra and several earlier Ultra-generation devices.
That battery detail may also explain another reported design decision. Current rumors suggest Samsung removed the internal stylus slot to make room for the larger battery, which means the Galaxy S27 Pro would not support the S Pen stylus in the same way the Ultra models have traditionally done.

For Samsung fans, that would create a clearer distinction between the Pro and Ultra versions. The Pro could offer a large battery and many flagship-grade specifications, while the Ultra remains the model for users who specifically want integrated stylus support and the largest screen experience.
Other rumored specifications point to a high-end device. The Galaxy S27 Pro is expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chip, paired with 12GB of memory. None of those specifications have been officially confirmed by Samsung, so they should still be treated as early information.
The camera setup is also rumored to be ambitious. Reports so far mention a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP telephoto camera. That would make the Pro model much closer to an Ultra-class camera phone than a typical Plus model, at least on paper.
Connectivity is expected to include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and ultra-wideband. The phone is also said to use a USB 3.2 Type-C port and support 60W wired fast charging.
The rumored 6.5-inch size is important because it would give Samsung a smaller alternative to the Ultra without dropping too far in hardware capability. Many buyers want a premium camera system and a large battery, but not everyone wants the biggest possible phone.
At the same time, removing the stylus slot would be a meaningful tradeoff. The S Pen has long been one of the Ultra line’s most recognizable features, and some users may see its absence as a reason to choose the Galaxy S27 Ultra instead.
For now, the Galaxy S27 Pro remains a rumor-driven device. The most consistent claims are a near-6.5-inch display, a 5000mAh battery, no integrated S Pen support, and a specification package that overlaps heavily with the Ultra tier.
If Samsung does move forward with this structure, the Galaxy S27 family could become more segmented than before: standard, Plus, Pro, and Ultra models, each aimed at a slightly different balance of size, battery, camera capability, and stylus functionality.
