Luxury device maker Caviar has introduced a new set of UAE-themed custom versions of the iPhone 17 Pro series, according to a report from Mac Observer cited by IT Home.
The collection is meant to pay tribute to the history and culture of the United Arab Emirates, and the designs lean hard into symbolism. Caviar says the special-edition phones combine elements such as the UAE flag and the desert falcon with black aviation-grade titanium and real 24K gold.
The most dramatic version in the lineup features a large gold falcon spread across the entire back of the device. Another model, called Dubai, takes a simpler direction and uses bright enamel fired onto the phone’s shell to recreate the city in a more stylized way.
Because the phones use real gold and are built by hand, the price tags are predictably steep. IT Home says the least expensive model in the new series starts at around $9,910, while a top-tier version with the highest gold content and the largest storage option comes in close to $15,000.
This is very much a luxury customization story rather than a mainstream smartphone launch, but it shows that Caviar is still betting on region-specific prestige editions as a way to turn flagship phones into collector-style status pieces.
