A new leak has outlined two upcoming HMD Global phones, the HMD C2 series, including the standard HMD C2 and the slightly higher-end HMD C2P. Both models appear to be aimed at the mid-range market rather than the entry-level segment.
The standard HMD C2 is said to use a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a centered punch-hole design, and peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits. On the front, the phone is expected to carry a 50-megapixel selfie camera.
On the back, the HMD C2 is listed with a 50-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel secondary camera, and a 0.3-megapixel auxiliary sensor. The phone is also said to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 platform, paired with 6GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of storage.
Battery capacity may be one of the more practical selling points. The HMD C2 is expected to include a 6,000mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging, which would make it a fairly large-battery option for users who care about daily endurance.

The HMD C2P looks like the stronger model in the same family. It reportedly keeps the same 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen size but raises the refresh rate to 120Hz and increases peak brightness to 1,500 nits. The front camera is again listed as a 50-megapixel unit.

For rear cameras, the C2P is said to move up to a 64-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 0.3-megapixel auxiliary camera. It is also expected to use the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

The C2P is also listed with a 6,000mAh battery and 33W wired charging, so the main differences between the two models appear to be display smoothness, peak brightness, memory configuration, and camera hardware.

If the leak is accurate, the HMD C2 series could give HMD Global a pair of practical mid-range phones focused on large AMOLED panels, big batteries, and fairly high-resolution front cameras. Pricing and launch timing have not yet been confirmed.
