New screen protector photos have offered an early side-by-side look at the expected size differences across Samsung’s next foldable lineup, including the Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Z Fold8, and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.
Third-party case and screen protector makers often learn the physical dimensions of upcoming phones ahead of launch so they can prepare accessories early. This time, tipster Ice Universe shared images on X that appear to compare the protective films for Samsung’s next-generation foldables.
The images are useful because they show the lineup in a simple physical comparison rather than through spec sheets alone. The Galaxy Z Flip8 remains the compact clamshell-style model, while the Fold models show the broader tablet-style screens that define Samsung’s book-style foldable range.
There has also been some discussion around Samsung’s naming strategy. Earlier reports suggested that what was once described as the Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide may now be called the Galaxy Z Fold8, while the model previously referred to as the Z Fold8 may be positioned as the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.

For the Galaxy Z Flip8, previous information has suggested that Samsung may not make major visible changes compared with the prior generation. The most notable hardware change is said to be a new hinge design, which could reduce folded thickness by around 0.02 inches.
The Flip8 is also rumored to use different chips depending on the market. Reports claim the phone may ship with Samsung’s Exynos 2600 in South Korea and Europe, while the U.S. and other regions may receive a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 version.
As for the Galaxy Z Fold8, earlier leaks point to a 4,800mAh battery and support for 45W wired charging. The device is also said to weigh around 201 grams, which would make weight reduction a key part of its appeal if the number proves accurate.
The Fold8 may also introduce a new 50-megapixel main camera with native support for 24-megapixel shooting mode. That would give Samsung room to improve everyday image detail while keeping file sizes and processing demands under control.
Samsung has not confirmed these details yet, so the photos and specifications should still be treated as pre-launch information. Even so, the accessory images offer one of the clearest early visual hints of how the Galaxy Z Flip8, Z Fold8, and Z Fold8 Ultra may differ in hand.
