A fresh leak is painting a clearer picture of what Samsung may be preparing for the Galaxy Z Fold8. According to details highlighted by IT Home from a post on X by tipster @TheGalox_, Samsung’s next book-style foldable could arrive with larger displays, upgraded camera hardware, and a higher-end memory option than the current generation.
The leaked specs say the Galaxy Z Fold8 may use a 6.5-inch outer display and an 8-inch inner screen, with both panels reportedly using 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED technology. That would keep Samsung focused on smooth visuals across both modes while also pushing the unfolded experience a bit further for multitasking and media use.
The report also says Samsung is working on a thinner and lighter overall design. To support durability, the inner display is said to use dual-layer ultra-thin glass together with a laser-drilled metal support plate. If accurate, that would suggest Samsung is still trying to improve foldable panel strength without giving up on a more refined chassis.
On the performance side, the phone is rumored to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy platform, paired with a vapor chamber cooling system to better manage heat. The same leak claims the device could be offered with as much as 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage, which would keep it firmly in flagship territory.
Camera hardware could see one of the most noticeable jumps. The back setup is said to include a 200MP camera as the main sensor, alongside a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. If Samsung actually ships that combination, it would give the Fold line a more ambitious imaging profile than many buyers have come to expect from productivity-focused foldables.
Battery details in the leak mention a 5000mAh cell with 45W wired charging support. The launch window is currently tipped for July or August 2026, and the phone is also expected to ship with One UI 9. For now, it’s still firmly in rumor territory, but the hardware mix does suggest Samsung is trying to make the Fold8 feel less like a niche foldable and more like a true no-compromise flagship.
