OPPO has started teasing the upcoming OPPO K15 Pro series ahead of its April 1 launch event, and one of the biggest talking points so far is a built-in cooling fan system aimed at heat-heavy use cases.
According to the company’s latest teaser on Weibo, the fan supports smart start-stop behavior and can automatically turn on in scenarios such as high-power outdoor use, elevated device temperatures, and gaming sessions. Users will also be able to adjust the fan mode manually, while OPPO says the system can handle full-scenario intelligent operation on its own as well.
What makes the feature a little more interesting is that OPPO isn’t only pitching it as a raw cooling add-on. The company also says the phone supports active noise reduction for the fan, which is meant to keep airflow noise from interfering with audio capture during recordings, video shooting, and voice calls.
That matters because fan-equipped smartphones often face a tradeoff between better thermal control and extra background noise. OPPO is clearly trying to position the OPPO K15 Pro as a device that can improve heat management without creating a distraction in everyday use.
The teaser follows earlier reports that the new K15 Pro lineup will also introduce a replaceable magnetic lens-cover design. OPPO previously said it is working with Bambu Lab, a well-known maker of desktop 3D printers, to release open-source 3D model files for the lens module through the MakerWorld community.
Taken together, the latest details suggest OPPO is trying to give the OPPO K15 Pro series a more experimental hardware identity, mixing practical thermal features with accessory-style customization. The full announcement is scheduled for April 1 at 2:30 PM.
