Fresh iPhone Fold renders show a slimmer rear camera bump and a more polished overall design

A new set of iPhone Fold renders is making the rounds, offering another look at what Apple’s first foldable phone could look like if the current design direction holds. The images were shared by leaker Majin Bu on X on April 5 and show the device from multiple angles.

Compared with the CAD-based visuals that surfaced in March, the most noticeable change in this newer batch is the rear camera area. The camera bump appears smaller and more restrained, which gives the device a cleaner look and should also help with comfort in hand if the final hardware ends up close to these renders.

The broader back-panel treatment also looks more refined this time. Rather than leaning into a bulky camera island, the updated design seems to balance the rear layout a bit better, making the phone look more polished overall instead of just experimental.

According to the report, the iPhone Fold is still expected to use a book-style horizontal fold. That would let the outer screen function as a standard phone display, while the inner panel opens up into a larger tablet-like workspace for video, reading, gaming, and multitasking.

Screen crease control remains one of the main technical challenges for any foldable, and the report says Apple is still working to reduce those limitations. On the software side, iOS 27 is expected to include foldable-focused optimizations, including side-by-side multitasking features that would make better use of the larger inner display.

Nothing here confirms final hardware, of course, and render-based leaks should always be treated carefully. Still, the latest visuals suggest Apple may be trying to make its foldable feel less like a first-generation compromise and more like a premium product with tighter proportions and a more mature industrial design.
