Leaked iPhone Fold and iPhone 18 Pro mockups offer an early look at Apple’s next hardware designs

A fresh set of leaked dummy units is giving Apple watchers an early look at what the company’s next flagship hardware could look like, including the rumored iPhone Fold alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The images and video were shared on X by Sonny Dickson and Majin Bu, two names that regularly surface in the broader Apple rumor cycle.

These mockups are not functional devices, and they do not contain internal components. Even so, they are typically produced for accessory makers, which means they can still offer a useful preview of a phone’s size, button layout, and general industrial design before launch.

Based on the leaked material, the iPhone 18 Pro models do not appear to depart dramatically from Apple’s current design language. The biggest visual talking point is the foldable model, whose rear camera area seems to match earlier reports about a redesigned bump layout for Apple’s first folding handset.

The video also suggests that the iPhone Fold is slightly thicker than the iPhone 18 Pro Max when closed. That could make the in-hand feel closer to one of Apple’s smaller iPhones despite the more ambitious form factor. Once unfolded, though, the device is expected to reveal a much larger inner display than a conventional slab phone can offer.

Because the leak centers on physical mockups, it cannot confirm how thin the foldable model will actually be when opened. Still, the closed-body proportions hint that Apple may be aiming for a very slim profile in tablet mode, which would line up with the company’s usual focus on tight industrial tolerances.

One notable omission from the leak is the base iPhone 18. According to multiple earlier rumors, Apple may push the launch of that model and the iPhone 18e back to March 2027 instead of releasing them together with the Pro line. If that schedule holds, Apple’s fall hardware cycle could become more segmented than before, with premium models arriving first and standard versions following later.
