Tecno has introduced the Tecno Pop X 5G in overseas markets, adding another entry-level 5G option built around MediaTek’s Dimensity 6400 platform. The phone is being offered in 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB versions, according to details highlighted by GSMArena.

Up front, the device uses a 6.78-inch IPS LCD panel with a 720 x 1576 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness rated at 560 nits. Tecno also includes a punch-hole front camera with an 8-megapixel sensor.

On the back, the phone carries a 13-megapixel main camera and LED flash inside a horizontal camera module. Tecno says part of that rear module uses Series 6 aerospace-grade aluminum, while the handset itself is rated IP64 for dust and splash resistance and measures 8.2mm thick.

Other hardware features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone ships with HiOS 16 based on Android 16 and adds several software tools, including AI noise reduction, an AI writing assistant, and AI image cutout features.

One of the more unusual additions is offline calling and messaging support between compatible Tecno devices. In practical terms, that means users can send texts and make calls to the same-brand phones even when there’s no regular network connection available.

The Tecno Pop X 5G is already on sale in overseas markets, with pricing starting at 15,999 Indian rupees. Based on the source conversion, that works out to roughly RMB 1,172.
