Apple has started rolling out iOS 26.5 public beta 3, along with fresh public test versions of iPadOS 26.5, watchOS 26.5, tvOS 26.5, and related platform updates. Public beta users can download the new builds now.
The release comes just one week after Apple pushed out the second public beta in the 26.5 cycle. Based on what appeared in the third developer beta released a day earlier, there do not seem to be many visible user-facing changes in this round.
Instead, Apple appears to be focusing mostly on bug fixes and performance tuning across the lineup. The public beta builds now match that same general direction, with the company offering updated software for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Mac users who are enrolled in testing.
One detail noted in the current test cycle is a new recommended places feature in iOS 26.5, iPadOS 26.5, and macOS Tahoe 26.5. The feature is designed to suggest nearby places users may want to visit. Apple is also reportedly preparing to introduce ads inside the Maps app.
As usual, Apple warns that beta software can include additional bugs and stability issues compared with public release versions. For that reason, anyone installing these builds should expect possible app glitches, battery drain, or performance problems while testing continues.
