A new leak claims that the upcoming vivo X Fold6 and Xiaomi Mix Fold 5 are both on the way, with each model expected to push its own part of the foldable phone story a little further. According to the tip, vivo is aiming to keep the device extremely thin while also delivering one of the largest batteries in its class, and the phone may also ship with a 200MP camera.

The same rumor says Xiaomi’s next large foldable could iterate on the company’s in-house silicon strategy. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 5 is said to use a new self-developed chip, which the report suggests may arrive under the Xring O3 name.

For context, the current vivo X Fold5 launched in June 2025 with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, a slim 217g body, a 6000mAh battery, and a starting price of 6,999 yuan. That gives a useful baseline for how much of a jump the rumored X Fold6 would represent if the battery and camera details turn out to be accurate.

Xiaomi’s current-generation Mix Fold 4 debuted in July 2024 with a starting price of 8,999 yuan, and the series hasn’t been refreshed for about a year. Earlier reports had already linked its successor to the codename lhasa and pointed to an Xring O3 chip, which could mean Xiaomi skips the Xring O2 branding entirely.

Nothing here has been confirmed officially, so this should still be treated as an early rumor. Even so, the combination of a possible 200MP camera, larger battery ambitions, and another step in Xiaomi’s custom chip work makes this one of the more interesting foldable leaks to watch right now.
