Xiaomi-Linked REDMI Phone Tipped to Debut With a 10,000mAh-Class Battery and 3nm Chip

A new leak from Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station points to an upcoming performance-focused sub-brand phone with a 7-inch 2K display, a 3nm chip, a metal frame, 3D ultrasonic fingerprint recognition, full IP68 and IP69 water resistance, and a 10,000mAh battery class power pack. The report says the device is tentatively scheduled for release near the end of this year.

While the source didn’t name the model directly, the hints and follow-up discussion strongly suggest it belongs to Xiaomi’s REDMI lineup. If that reading is right, it would become Xiaomi’s first REDMI phone built around a 10,000mAh battery class design, which would mark a major shift in how aggressively the brand is pushing battery capacity.

The same tipster had previously said in April that a sub-brand midrange line would be first in line for this kind of oversized battery strategy, pairing a 10,000mAh-level cell with 100W fast charging, a 200MP large-sensor main camera, a metal frame, an optical fingerprint reader, a high-refresh 1.5K LTPS display, and a midrange Dimensity platform.

That earlier leak doesn’t perfectly match today’s configuration, but it does support the broader idea that Chinese smartphone makers are rapidly moving into the next wave of ultra-large-battery hardware. The latest claim suggests Xiaomi may be one of the most aggressive players in that race, especially if the final phone really combines a 3nm chip with flagship-style durability and a huge battery.

The source also said a 10,000mAh-class phone from iQOO is in the pipeline, though expected a bit later. Separate earlier chatter has suggested Honor is continuing the same battery-heavy direction for its upcoming X80 series as well.

Taken together, the leaks point to a growing battle among Chinese brands over ultra-endurance smartphones. For buyers who care more about battery life and day-to-day staying power than extreme performance, this next round of big-cell phones could turn into one of the more interesting device trends to watch later this year.
