Colorful Unveils the BATTLE-AX B860M-PLUS S WIFI7 V20, an $899 Micro-ATX Board Built for Intel Core Ultra 200S Plus Chips

Colorful B860M motherboard has introduced a new budget-friendly board aimed at Intel’s latest desktop chips. The company’s new BATTLE-AX B860M-PLUS S WIFI7 V20 Super Black Blade is designed around the two Core Ultra 200S Plus desktop processors Intel released in March, and IT Home describes it as a surprisingly premium-looking option given its 899 yuan price point.

From a design standpoint, the board keeps the series’ signature all-black styling. It uses a fully black PCB, black heatsink armor, and matching components, with metallic heatsinks finished through brushed, polished, and chamfered detailing. Colorful also mixes in stylized lettering, a handwritten-style logo treatment, thin white accent lines, and small red dot elements to make the overall look feel more deliberate than what you usually expect in this price range.

Physically, it uses a standard micro-ATX layout at 245mm by 245mm and weighs about 1.21kg, which should make it relatively easy to fit into a wide range of mainstream cases. On the hardware side, the board uses the LGA1851 socket and a 10+1+1+1 phase 60A DrMOS power design, paired with dual 8-pin power connectors. That setup is meant to comfortably support Intel Core Ultra 200S Plus processors as well as the wider Core Ultra 200S family.

Memory and expansion options are also fairly strong for this class. The board includes four DDR5 slots with aluminum-alloy reinforcement, supports memory speeds up to 8800MT/s, and allows up to 192GB of total capacity. For expansion, buyers get one PCIe 5.0 x16 graphics slot, one PCIe 5.0 x4 SSD slot, and two PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD slots. IT Home also notes that the board has moved to an all quick-release design, while the memory slots and main PCIe slot both receive extra reinforcement for durability and signal stability.

Connectivity is another area where this board tries to overdeliver. The rear I/O panel includes one HDMI port, one DisplayPort, two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, four USB 3.2 5Gbps Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 5Gbps Type-C port, one USB 3.2 20Gbps Type-C port, a 5GbE RJ45 Ethernet port, three audio jacks, and two antenna connectors for a Wi-Fi 7 motherboard setup. In the box, Colorful also includes two black Wi-Fi antennas, two black storage extension cables, a pack of spare screws and standoffs, and two small fixing pads.

Put together, the package makes this Colorful B860M motherboard look like a value-focused board that still pays serious attention to power delivery, storage flexibility, and high-speed connectivity. For builders who want a compact board with DDR5, PCIe 5.0, 5GbE networking, and Wi-Fi 7 without stepping into much higher price brackets, this model seems positioned as an aggressive entry in the current Intel DIY market.
