A new leak suggests Samsung has already started work on One UI 9.5, and the software is expected to sit on top of Android 17. If that roadmap holds, Samsung’s next mainstream flagship line, the Galaxy S27 series, could be the first non-foldable family to ship with the update preinstalled.
The report points to a shared code snippet that references several One UI versions and explicitly mentions One UI 9.5. That matters because it’s the first time this version number has shown up in public, giving early watchers a hint about where Samsung’s software planning may already be headed.
At this stage, there are still no confirmed feature details tied to One UI 9.5. Even so, Samsung’s recent software direction gives a rough idea of what users might expect, including a cleaner visual layer, more refined customization options, and another round of system-level polish rather than a dramatic redesign.
The update may also become another vehicle for Samsung to expand Galaxy AI features across its ecosystem. Nothing concrete has been announced yet, but the company’s current strategy makes it reasonable to expect smarter on-device tools and tighter AI integration once the next major software cycle arrives.
