Lenovo Legion Y70 Teases Dual Physical SIM and Dual eSIM Support Ahead of Launch

Lenovo Legion Y70 is shaping up as an unusually connectivity-focused gaming phone. Lenovo says the upcoming model will use the brand’s first dual eSIM setup, pairing two physical SIM slots with two eSIM profiles in a P+P+E+E arrangement that can deliver dual-standby support across four cards.

The company has already confirmed a May 19 debut for the new Legion handset, and reservations are now open in China. While the SIM configuration is the headline feature in this update, Lenovo also attached a broader batch of hardware details that position the phone firmly in the high-end gaming segment.

According to the official preview, the device will run on Qualcomm’s fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 platform, identified here as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. Lenovo also says the phone uses a triple cooling combination made up of gel, liquid metal, and a vapor chamber, a setup aimed at keeping performance steadier under heavier loads.

Display specs are equally aggressive. The company says the new Lenovo Legion Y70 uses a 2K BOE Q10 gaming display with a peak brightness rating of 7000 nits. On the battery side, it carries an 8000mAh pack and supports bypass charging, which is especially relevant for long play sessions where users want to reduce heat while plugged in.

Fresh benchmark information adds a bit more context before launch. Earlier coverage from IT Home noted that the XT2611-1 variant recently appeared on Geekbench 6.7.1 with a single-core score of 2950 and a multi-core score of 9796, and the tested unit was equipped with 16GB of memory.

Put together, the teaser suggests Lenovo is trying to make the next Lenovo Legion Y70 stand out not only with raw gaming specs, but also with a more flexible dual eSIM story that most mainstream phones still don’t offer.
