Apple says the Hikawa Grip & Stand is coming back later this year as part of a broader accessibility push, and this time it is not limited to an initial small run. The company has reopened sales globally through its online store, giving more users a chance to buy an iPhone accessory that sold out quickly the first time around.

The product first appeared last November to mark the 40th anniversary of Apple accessibility features. It was designed by Los Angeles-based artist and industrial designer Bailey Hikawa, and Apple says the new release is being offered in collaboration with PopSockets for a wider international launch.

At its core, the accessory is meant to make an iPhone easier to hold and stabilize. Apple positions it around Apple accessibility needs, especially for people who may have limited grip strength or reduced hand control. The company says the design supports different ways of holding the phone while reducing the effort needed to keep it steady.

The material is described as soft-touch premium silicone, and the accessory also works as a stand. It attaches magnetically to the back of a compatible iPhone through MagSafe, and it can prop the phone up in both portrait and landscape orientation.

Apple also emphasizes the product’s industrial design angle. Each Hikawa piece is presented as functional support hardware, but also as a small sculptural object. The current release comes in three Apple-exclusive color options, including a bright marbled orange finish, a speckled stone tone, and a glow blue version.

According to the listing highlighted in the report, the accessory is now on sale through Apple’s website at a price of 448 yuan in China. For users who like MagSafe add-ons but also want a grip solution designed with comfort and accessibility in mind, this re-release gives the product a much wider reach than it had the first time.
