Xiaomi 17 Max Benchmark Leak Points to Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and 16GB RAM

A new Xiaomi handset with model number 2605EPN8EC has surfaced in the Geekbench database, and cross-referenced GSMA IMEI information suggests it could be the upcoming Xiaomi 17 Max.

The benchmark entry points to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and shows the phone paired with 16GB RAM. That combination alone puts the device firmly in flagship territory, even before Xiaomi has made anything official.

According to the published scores, the handset posted 3,750 points in single-core testing and 11,674 points in multi-core testing on Geekbench 6.7.1. Those numbers are slightly ahead of the current average listed for the same chip, which sits at 3,651 for single-core and 11,188 for multi-core results.

That doesn’t automatically tell the full story of real-world performance, but it does hint that Xiaomi may already be tuning the device aggressively ahead of launch. It also reinforces the idea that the Xiaomi 17 Max is being positioned as a high-end performance phone rather than a minor refresh.

Earlier reporting tied the phone to Xiaomi’s new 8,000mAh Jinshajiang battery platform. If that detail holds, the device could lean heavily into three major selling points: a larger display, a very large battery, and a high-resolution main camera.

At this stage, the leak still leaves plenty of questions unanswered. Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed the final product name, full specifications, pricing, or launch timing. Even so, the Geekbench appearance gives one of the clearest early looks yet at what the rumored Xiaomi 17 Max may bring to the table.
