A fresh HMD Thunder Pro leak is painting a fairly detailed picture of the upcoming phone, and it looks like HMD may be aiming for a practical midrange package instead of chasing flashy headline specs. The information was shared by tipster HMD_MEME’S on X, along with renders of the device.
According to the leak, the phone will use a Unisoc T620 chip clocked at 2.2GHz. It’s also said to ship with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which would give it a decent amount of room for everyday apps, photos, and media.
On the front, the device is expected to feature a 6.67-inch OLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz OLED display refresh rate. That combination suggests HMD is trying to keep the phone smooth and visually appealing without pushing it into a higher price tier.
The camera setup sounds solid for this class as well. The main rear camera is tipped to be a 50MP unit with optical image stabilization, while the ultra-wide camera may come in at 8MP. Up front, the phone is said to include a 50MP selfie camera placed under the display.
Other reported features include NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual microphones, stereo speakers, and IP65 dust and water resistance. If that list holds up, the Thunder Pro could end up standing out by keeping several features that are often dropped from lower-cost phones.
For now, there’s still no official launch date or pricing. Even so, the leaked spec sheet makes the HMD Thunder Pro look like a phone built around balance: enough storage, a smooth OLED screen, stabilized main camera hardware, and a handful of practical extras people still care about.
