realme has introduced the realme 16T in overseas markets, positioning it as the first phone to arrive after the brand’s reported merger with OnePlus. The launch also lands against earlier reports that realme may not have any near-term new-phone plans for the Chinese market, which makes this debut a notable one for the brand’s next phase.

The phone starts at 29,999 Indian rupees and comes with a long list of durability claims, including MIL-STD-810H as well as IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K protection ratings. Buyers can choose from Aurora Green, Starlight Black, and Starlight Red finishes.

Up front, the realme 16T uses a 6.8-inch FHD+ IPS LCD panel with a punch-hole design and a 144Hz refresh rate. realme says the screen can reach 1,200 nits of peak brightness. The phone also uses a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for unlocking.

For cameras, the device pairs a 16MP front camera with a 50MP Sony IMX852 main rear camera and a 2MP secondary sensor. On the inside, it’s powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 processor, with configurations going up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Battery life looks like one of the headline features. The handset packs an 8,000mAh battery and supports 45W wired charging. It ships with realme UI 7.0 based on Android, giving the phone a software package that lines up with realme’s latest mobile interface direction.
