A newly shared photo may offer an early look at the front shape of Samsung’s rumored Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide before the foldable itself has been formally shown.
The image was posted on Weibo by leaker @i冰宇宙, also known as Ice Universe. Rather than showing the phone directly, the post focuses on a tempered glass protector said to fit the Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide.
That might sound minor, but accessory parts often reveal useful design clues ahead of launch. In this case, the protector gives people a rough idea of how the phone’s outer screen could be proportioned.
IT Home quoted the leaker as saying that if you place a display behind this piece of glass, the result would resemble the image shown on the right side of the shared picture. He also noted that the actual phone will not have bezels that are quite this narrow and that the real device should include a hole-punch cutout.
So while this screen protector leak doesn’t confirm final hardware dimensions, it does point to the general direction Samsung may be taking with the cover display. Until more components or official teasers appear, that’s the clearest takeaway from this early outer display glimpse.
